Well, my article on the Spinker Rebbe in this week's Forward has really angered a lot of folks in the Hassidishe velt.....Not the first time, of course.
It is odd that when I defend the Hasidim against their real enemies, as I did on the op. ed. page of the Montreal Gazette last summer, no one seems to react.
So many frum bloggers have attacked me, all in the 24 hourse since the article appeared in the Forward, that I decided to create this new blog, to make their lives easier. Now you can have easy, direct access for the object of your scorn.
BTW: "Royter Rov" was the nickname given to me by the great Yiddish writer, Chaim Grade, z"l.

I (a lakewood Misnaged) think you are wasting your time trying to convince people who insist on preserving a 1800's mentality of the truth of ANYTHING.
RE Your name; As a child, one of the many nutcases wandering Boro Park was a guy who called himself the "Royter Rebbe". He took himself very seriously, and would anounce himself upon entering any room as "THE ROYTER REBBE IS HERE'. Which is what you title is going to remind ANYONE from the Brooklyn NY scene of.
Good luck.
BTW, I did enjoy your book 'The faith of the Misnagdim'. Allways wondered why chassidim get all the press, while we misnagdim never do. I guess we will have to start making huge weddings for the Rosh Yeshivas in sports arenas :-)
Can you post the Montreal Gazette piece? None of the old links seem to work.
